Once again the Rotary Club of Woonsocket is seeking candidates for the prestigious 2015 Vocational Service Award.

 

Once again the Rotary Club of Woonsocket is seeking candidates for the prestigious 2015 Vocational Service Award.

The award will be presented to an individual or business that: (1) exemplifies "service above self," (2) has shown outstanding achievement in their vocation or business by encouraging high ethical standards (3) dignified that vocation as an opportunity to serve society.

The awarded individual or company will be invited, along with their family and guests, to receive the award at Woonsocket Rotary Club, day or evening meeting of the week, during the month of October; Rotary International's Vocational Service month.

Prior Honorees include:

2006 - Owen Bebeau; Director Human Services, City of Woonsocket

2007 - Kevin Plouffe; Band Director Woonsocket High School

2008 - Bill Belisle; Mount St. Charles Hockey Coach

2009 - Harry Diarbian; Transitional Care Case Manager at The Woonsocket Shelter Community Action

2010 - Charles Seavor; Long Time Rotarian

2011 - Robert “Rob” Pilkington

2012 - Pat Dempster; Because He Lives Ministries

2013 - Cathy Levesque; Executive Director of the Stadium Theatre Foundation

2014 - Richard R. Charest; president of Landmark Medical Center and Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island

Deadline for applications is Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Eligible candidates include Rotarian, Non-Rotarian and Business people

Award presentation is currently scheduled for our weekly meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
