When it comes promoting the local business community, there is no one more active than Jeanne Budnick. And that is why Budnick was awarded the Rotary Club of Woonsocket’s Vocational Service Award during a dinner at River Falls Restaurant Thursday night.

Budnick is a co-owner of Pepin Lumber at 830 Cumberland Hill Road and that should be plenty to keep a person busy in their community. But as David Lahousse, a Rotary Club member and local businessman himself with Kay’s Restaurant, pointed out in his nomination, Budnick is the first to help anyone in need.

“Jeanne has always been a great local supporter to all different kinds of causes,” Lahousse said. “She was one of the founders of the Buy Local group which has 150 members. I could not think of a person or business that deserves it more,” Lahousse said in his nomination.
